detailed description

The Chiengora® Museum Pillow combines our uniquely innovative dog fiber yarn with traditional weaving techniques and a regional supply chain. The textile surface of the front made of Chiengora® and a warp yarn from the last cotton spinning mill in Germany was woven in the historical demonstration weaving mill in Braunsdorf. For this exclusive collaboration, which is also reflected in the name of the product, the technical museum's looms were reactivated once for production.

The herringbone pattern is a modern design classic that never falls out of time and will be a long-term companion in your living space thanks to its high quality. The back of the pillow is made of boiled wool. The wool comes from local sheep and is spun and fulled in Germany. The decorative cushion filling consists of particularly light kapok fibers, also known as plant down, which is a wild-growing and therefore ecological alternative to other fillers. All steps of value creation and production take place in selected workshops in Germany.

The pillow is undyed. The three colors of the woven pattern are created by separating different colored undercoats by type. In this way, we also save on energy- and water-intensive dyeing processes.
